For decades, Wacker Neuson has been making everyday construction site work easier for its customers with innovative solutions. In spring 2022, the company is presenting new products in the area of soil compaction as well as a new compact machine.
Single direction vibratory plate series expanded
In 2021, with the APS and BPS series, Wacker Neuson put three new single direction vibratory plates each, with electric and conventional drive systems, on the market. Two further battery-powered plates, APS1550e and APS2050e, and their gasoline-powered counterparts BPS1550 and BPS2050, are now being added to the series. Also, the first diesel-powered model is being added to the series: DPS2050. Thus, Wacker Neuson offers a suitable model for every requirement in the area of light compaction, with a centrifugal force of 10 to 20 kilonewtons and a base width of 30 to 50 centimeters. The vibratory plates are suited for all typical compaction work and particularly for asphalt compaction: moving and turning, especially on fresh asphalt, is child’s play and leaves behind a smooth surface without imprints. Even clean finishes at curbs are easy to produce due to the angular side edges of the base plate. Operators also benefit from low hand-arm vibrations (HAV) of less than 5 m/s², which makes fatigue-free work possible.
Proven technology, optimized: Dumper DW50
The wheel dumper DW50 has been optimized for safety, performance and comfort. A variety of new details make the machine the safe helper in material transport: the hill hold function prevents the machine from rolling back when stopped on a slope. Also, seat belt monitoring means the operator must first fasten the seat belt to be able to start the machine. An optimized skip format for more volume and a minimized risk of damage when loading with an excavator bucket. Moreover, the machine has overfilling protection, seat heating, and cruise control as well as a large, clear display, safety features such as cameras in both travel directions, and rear LED lights with dynamic turn signals. Other features of the machine are, for example, the standard auto-stop function: this shuts the machine off automatically after a predefined period of time when not in use. At the same time, electric consumers that are not safety-relevant are also switched off to conserve the machine’s battery. The advantages: operating costs are reduced, maintenance intervals become longer, and the resale value of the machine is accordingly higher. The time-tested and proven hydrostatic 4-wheel drive ensures that the machine evenly accelerates up to 30 km/h.
